Add-on course – “Soft Skills” By the Department of English, Golaghat Commerce College. The Department of English has been offering a self-financing three months certificate course in Soft Skills since 2015. The course is offered for three months, with two batches in an academic year. The classes are conducted in the college on three-week days. Total number of hours is 72 hours. Like every year, this year also the department started the enrolment process from November ‘2023’. Classes started in the month of January ‘2024’and successfully completed the course in March ‘2024’. A total number of 23 students appeared in the Final Examination that was conducted through Google Forms. The add-on course consisted of various practical sessions on Group Discussions, presentation etc. Assignments were also given to them. Dr. Jibon Jyoti Kakoti was the course coordinator and the classes were taken by other faculty members as scheduled in the class routine. During this session out of 23 students 18 students successfully completed the course. Certificates were distributed on 28^th March‘2024’. The Add-on course will be continued in the upcoming sessions too with equal dedication.
