The Distance Education facility is available both under Dibrugarh University and Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) with a vision to reach the unreached. It enables the youths who are either employed or self-employed and who are unable to pursue higher education due to economic or other reasons. Currently the courses available under KKHSOU are
1. B. A. (Pass and Major, Semester)
2. B. Com. (Semester)
3. B. M. C. (Semester)
4. B. B. A. (Semester)
5. D. J. M. C. (One Year)
Masters programmes to be introduced in the following subjects –
Assamese, Education and M.B.A.
Moreover, under the Directorate of Distance Education, Dibrugarh University, the courses offered include :
1. Under-Graduate Courses in B. A. and B.Com.
The Major courses include Sociology, Assamese, Economics and Political Science.
2. Post Graduate Courses :
1. M. Com. Speciality : H. R. M. and Banking.
2. M. A. in Assamese, Political Science.
