Reservations
College follows the reservation rules prescribed by Government of Assam from time to time. Existing reservations in different categories are as follows:

1.How to obtain Prospectus
Students can have access to the college prospectus by visiting the college website – www.golaghatcommercecollege.org
2. What are the important documents required for admission?
The duly filled up form should be submitted along with the following documents:
(i) Marksheet of the last qualifying examination
(ii) Pass certificate
(iii) Age-certificate
(iv) Character certificate from the head of the institution last attended
(v) Caste certificate (wherever necessary)
(vi) Passport size photographs (3 Copies)
(vii) Certificates of extra-curricular activities (if applicable)
(viii) Any other certificate (if applied for reserved seats)
(ix) Gap certificate (if necessary)
3. What is the Selection Procedure?
(i) The admission into the college is made strictly on the basis of merit and is governed by the college admission rules. The admission committee’s decision regarding admission is final and binding.
(ii)The admission committee shall prepare a list of selected students representing all categories of applicants and the list will be displayed in the college website/notice-board.
(iii) When the number of applicants exceeds the seat capacity, the admission committee may prepare a waiting list.
(iv)After the last date of admission, if any seat remains vacant, it will be filled up from the applicants named in the waiting list. This will also be on the basis of merit.
(v)Any pressure or interference from any quarter for the admission of a particular student will result in a forfeiture of the claim.
4. When is the Last Date of Admission?
The admission committee shall fix and notify the last date of admission into the various courses following the guidelines issued by Dibrugarh University and UGC.
5. When do the classes Commence?
The date of commencement of classes will be as per the directions of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Dibrugarh University and UGC.
6. What is the Selection Procedure for Major?
Students seeking Major/Specialty in different subjects will be selected on the basis of merit.
7. How to get Hostel Admission?
Students seeking admission in hostel must apply for hostel seat in a prescribed form available in the college office. The hostel committee will make a selection of students for hostel admission on different criteria fixed by the committee.
