On 8th Dec 2023, the cadets from (Golaghat Commerce College)74 Assam Girls (I) Company and 12 Assam (I) Company, NCC, Golaghat, under HQ Jorhat Gp, NCC, organised an event to celebrate “International Year Of Millets”. The event was organised at Golaghat Commerce College. The event was participated by Lt Col Ak Jayanta, OC 74 Assam Girls (I) Coy, NCC, Golaghat, ANO Lt (Dr.) Meghali Saikia, 2 x JCOs, 4 x NCOs, 2 x CTOs and 76 boy and girl NCC cadets.
Mr Uttam Dowrah and Mrs Bidisha Bhatacharya from the District Agriculture Office, Golaghat gave a very informative and practically useful presentations. The topic was “Millet – Why and How it should be part of our diet”. The staff and Golaghat Commerce College gave their full support to make this event a grand success.
