PUNEET SAGAR ABHIYAN ON 09 SEP 2023
On 9th Sep 2023, the cadets from 74 Assam Girls (I) Company and 12 Assam (I) Company, NCC, Golaghat, under HQ Jorhat Gp, NCC, organised an event of cleaning a local public pond as a part of “Puneet Sagar Abhiyan”, under which National Cadet Corps has initiated a nationwide campaign to clean the water bodies off plastic and other wastes.
Golaghat is a small township in Assam having abundance of public and private ponds. When left unmaintained for long periods of time, a pond becomes unpleasant in both appearance and odour and is a health hazard not only for the aquatic life but also for the people living nearby. Plants become overgrown and fish waste, leaf and organic debris build up. Also, the public dispose wastes too needs to be cleaned time to time
The event was participated by Lt Col Ak Jayanta, OC 74 Assam Girls (I) Coy, NCC, Golaghat, 2 x JCOs, 7 x NCOs, 2 x ANOs, 3 x CTOs and 107 boy and girl cadets. Dr Utpal Sharma, Principal of Golaghat Commerce College too was present in the event.
Clean ponds helps preventing and controlling the spread of communicable diseases, promoting physical health and individual hygiene, as well as maintaining a sanitary environment for the public.
9 सितंबर 2023 को, मुख्यालय जोरहाट ग्रुप, एन.सी.सी. के तहत 74 असम गर्ल्स (आई) कंपनी और 12 असम (आई) कंपनी के कैडेटों ने “पुनीत सागर अभियान” के चलते एक स्थानीय सार्वजनिक तालाब की सफाई का कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया। राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर ने जल निकायों को प्लास्टिक और अन्य कचरे से साफ करने के लिए एक राष्ट्रव्यापी अभियान शुरू किया है।
गोलाघाट असम में एक छोटी सी बस्ती है जिसमें सार्वजनिक और निजी तालाबों की बहुतायत है। जब लंबे समय तक रखरखाव नहीं किया जाता है, तो एक तालाब दिखने और गंध दोनों में अप्रिय हो जाता है और न केवल जलीय जीवन के लिए बल्कि आसपास रहने वाले लोगों के लिए भी स्वास्थ्य के लिए खतरा है। पौधे बड़े हो जाते हैं और मछली का कचरा, पत्ती और जैविक मलबा जमा हो जाता है। इसके अलावा, जनता कचरे का निपटान करती है जिसे भी समय-समय पर साफ करने की आवश्यकता होती है।
इस कार्यक्रम में लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल ए.के जयंत, ओ.सी. 74 असम गर्ल्स (आई) कंपनी, एनसीसी, गोलाघाट, 2 x जे.सी.ओ., 7 x एन.सी.ओ., 2 x ए.एन.ओ. 3 x सी.टी.ओ. और 107 लड़के और लड़की कैडेटों ने बढ़ चढ़ के भाग लिया। गोलाघाट कॉमर्स कॉलेज के प्रिंसिपल डॉ उदय शर्मा भी इस कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित थे।
स्वच्छ तालाब संचारी रोगों के प्रसार को रोकने और नियंत्रित करने, शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य और व्यक्तिगत स्वच्छता को बढ़ावा देने के साथ-साथ जनता के लिए एक स्वच्छता वातावरण बनाए रखने में मदद करते हैं।
