Golaghat, August 23: The 74 Assam Girls’ (I) Coy NCC under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters, Jorhat, marked National Space Day 2025 with a vibrant programme at Golaghat Commerce College, Golaghat on Saturday. The event, held under the theme “Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan”, highlighted India’s growing strength in space research and exploration.
As many as 152 cadets took part in the celebration. 40 cadets from Golaghat Commerce College participated in the programme. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Utpal Sarma, Principal of Golaghat Commerce College, inspired the cadets with words of motivation, urging them to emulate India’s scientific spirit and dream beyond boundaries.
The programme also featured a lecture on “India’s Space Journey” delivered by the Commanding Officer, which showcased ISRO’s achievements from its humble beginnings to major milestones like Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan. A spirited quiz competition, conducted by Smt. Parvati Verma, Care Taker Officer (CTO) NCC KKBB School, added an interactive and engaging dimension to the event.
The programme concluded with cadets undertaking a pledge to uphold the values of science, research, and national progress, followed by a collective salute to India’s scientists. The enthusiasm and discipline of the cadets stood out as a tribute to India’s pursuit of knowledge and innovation.
